Lake of the Ozarks’ Miller County Fair is Here!
From now through Saturday, the 2012 Miller County Fair is taking place near Lake of the Ozarks in Eldon, MO. This beloved Lake of the Ozarks event includes a livestock show, carnival rides, live music, a demolition derby and, of course, fantastic fair food. It’s a fun time for all ages.
Tonight (July 25th), boys and girls ages 3-6 will be competing for the title of Little Mr. & Little Miss, with the winners announced at 7pm. At 8:30pm, Miss Miller County and Miss Miller County Teen will also be announced. Vintage antique tractors will be on view tonight as well, thanks to two local Lake of the Ozarks antique tractor clubs. The carnival, complete with traditional rides, takes place every evening from 6pm to 10:30pm. Fair goers can purchase an armband each evening for $15 that gives them unlimited access to all carnival rides.
On Thursday (July 26th), the Central Missouri Truck & Tractor Pulling Association will be sponsoring the truck and tractor pull at 7pm. Live entertainment will be performed all throughout the fair every day. The local Lion’s and 4-H Clubs will be manning the concession stands selling everything from hot dogs to pizza, pork dinners to bratwursts, bottled water to soft drinks and much more. The grand finale of the Miller County Fair is the Demolition Derby at 7pm on Saturday, July 28th.
Tickets for the fair are extremely affordable, too. Adults (ages 13 and older) are just $8 per evening, kids ages 6-12 are just $1 and all kids under 6 are absolutely free. Tonight’s admission (July 25th only) is just $5 for adults. Lake of the Ozarks’ Miller County Fair is here! Take the family to this fabulous Miller County tradition.
