Stover Fair 2018
The Stover Fair 2018 takes place this weekend. Things kick off tomorrow with a quilt show at the Stover Community Center. The beer garden and food stands open at 5 pm. Carnival rides begin at 6 pm. You won’t want to miss the parade at 7 pm. On Friday, the schedule stays the same. But, in addition to the quilt show, food, beer, and rides, guests have other events to choose from. For example, join the Bingo game in the West Shelter at 5:30 pm. Watch the Big Kids Pedal Pull at 6:30 pm. And then listen to Double Shot of Bourbon perform live on the stage at 7:30 pm.
For the final day of the Stove Fair 2018 (Saturday), come to the Stover Community Center at 8 am to join the Runtastic 5K Run/Walk. All ages are welcome to participate. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Then, there’s a car show, farm and garden tractor show, pet parade, pedal pull, fish fry, tractor pull, wine and beer tasting, and so much more! Dirt Road Addiction hits the stage to perform live at 7:30 pm. And then, as if that wasn’t enough, the whole fair ends with a huge firework display at 10:05 pm over Morgan County School’s soccer fields.
Organizers of the Stover Fair 2018 procured free wi-fi access for all fairgoers this year, thanks to Co-Mo Connect. So, feel free to take lots of photos and post them on your social media. Help spread the word.
Parking for the Stove Fair 2018
Parking will be available for free on the north side of the Morgan County R1 School located across the street from the fairgrounds. For our less able-bodied fair folk, handicapped parking is available at the Community Center. Make sure your handicapped placard remains visible or risk receiving a ticket. And those tickets come with hefty fines attached. Hop aboard any of the free trams taking passengers back and forth between the parking lot and the fair.
