Depression affects more people than you realize. While some mood changes happen due to hormonal changes in pregnant women, postpartum depression or other anxiety disorders occur in 15-20% of pregnant women. They manifest in many ways: depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar episodes, PTSD, and even psychosis. Even fathers may experience some form of postpartum depression (approximately 10%). Postpartum Support International helps both women and men deal with these issues. But this non-profit organization needs your assistance to continue their efforts. The Lake Ozark Climb Out of the Darkness 2018 raises money and awareness for this more-often-than-not talked about a disease that affects millions of people nationwide.
