In exactly one week from tonight, it’s Halloween! Boys and girls all over the lake dress up as their favorite characters to charm/chill neighbors out of tasty treats or else risk a terrible trick. For a safe alternative (or a fun addition) to knocking on strangers’ doors, visit Warsaw Halloween Hoopla 2018. It’s free, fun, and family-friendly.
Warsaw Halloween Hoopla 2018
Why trudge along neighborhood streets in search of candy when you can fill up your trick-or-treat bags in one location at Warsaw Halloween Hoopla 2018? Dozens of businesses open their doors up for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night beginning at 6 pm. Many of the staff inside each establishment join in on the fun by dressing up in costume as well. Also, other vendors set up booths along Main St for boys and girls in costume to visit. All ages are welcome to attend. And, while you’re there, feel free to support these businesses by shopping inside. Main St will be closed to traffic during the “hoopla” so as to ensure the safety of our kids.
Library Halloween Book Sale
The Friends of the Library group hosts their annual Halloween book sale next week at the Boonslick Regional Library on Jackson St. The event takes place from 9 am to 5 pm on October 30th and 9 am to 1 pm on October 31st. Fill an Aldi bag with amazing tales of adventure and intrigue for just $5 on Tuesday. But, if you hold out until Wednesday, pay just $1 a bag. Money raised from the book sale benefits the Boonslick Regional Library and its public programs.
Looking for a safe place to do your trick-or-treating this year? Visit Main St after 6 pm on Halloween night. Then stop and shop inside the local businesses to show your support for them. Have fun!
