Osage Beach Gala of Trees 2018
The Osage Beach Gala of Trees 2018 starts things off with a bang at their kick-off party at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, November 14th. For $20 per person, guests get to dine on fabulous food at the Wobbly Boots’ buffet and sip some Gala Punch. That should get you good and ready to start bidding on the beautiful trees and wreaths decorated by local businesses. At 8 pm, one guest receives a very special wreath as a prize for the evening. Get your tickets at the Wobbly Boots anytime before the gala begins.
On Friday, November 16th, Wobbly Boots invites the public to drop cans of non-perishable food. With a donation of five cans, you’ll receive one appetizer for half the price. This offer is good for one appetizer per person, please. All donations received will be distributed to local food pantries. They see an increase in foot traffic during the holidays. So, they could really use the extra help. Be as generous as you can. It’s all for a good cause.
Feel free to bid on the beautifully decorated trees and wreaths on view at the Wobbly Boots anytime between November 14th and 8 pm on November 17th. But, at 8 pm on Saturday, the Osage Beach Gala of Trees 2018 marks the close of this year’s fundraiser with a live auction. The live auction offers other exciting items not on view during the silent auction. Proceeds from both the live and silent auctions benefit Candyland and The Idiot’s Club.
Candyland & The Idiot’s Club
Our very own Lake Ozark Rotary Club hosts their Candyland event each year. With Candyland, the rotary club purchases gifts for underprivileged children in the Lake of the Ozarks area for Christmas. The Lake of the Ozarks Idiot’s Club does the same thing. So, while you’re busy deciding on which lovely Christmas decorations you would like to have in your home, you’ll also be helping to ensure that children all over the lake area wake up to Christmas presents under their tree this year. In that way, we all win!
Be kind. Be thankful. Be generous. You can’t ever go wrong when you practice these three principles each and every day.
