In 1782, the bald eagle became the symbol of the United States. Once you see a bald eagle in person, you understand why this majestic bird was chosen to represent our great country. Its wings span as far as eight feet across. And, did you know that they can fly as high as 10,000 feet? These are just a few of the fun facts you’ll learn when you attend Truman Lake Eagle Days 2019.
Beginning at 9 am, a special 50-minute live eagle program starts up at the visitors center. A popular program, organizers suggest you show up early to nab yourself a seat. Be aware that lines tend to run long.
Truman Lake Eagle Days 2019 also features their Snakes Alive program throughout the day. Other activities include crafts for kids, a wood carver, and information booths. The band Late Arrivals playing acoustical versions of some of the Eagles’ most popular hits. You may hear other songs as well. They play on the upper deck at 11 am and 1 pm.
Stop by the front desk to watch “Where Eagles Soar” played all day long. See some amazing artwork from artist Ike Parker as well as pieces created by our own local artists from Warsaw High School. You’ll have so much fun, you’ll forget that you’re actually learning something, too. Truman Lake Eagle Days 2019 provides plenty of entertainment for the entire family to enjoy together.
