Lake Ozark residents love to play at the lake. But they also believe in giving back to their community. The folks at Shady Gators believe this as well. Next Saturday, August 17th, they invite you to participate in their Lake Ozark Phat Phest 2019. This annual event raises money to help disabled children attend our local Wonderland Camp each year. Your participation is vital to continuing this camp’s success and availability to all kids with physical and other limitations who may not otherwise get to enjoy a fantastic opportunity like this.
Lake Ozark Phat Phest 2019
Shady Gators’ Phat Phest welcomes amazing musicians from right here in the Midwest to perform in one location. From noon to midnight on August 17th, the house is rockin’ with live music and entertainment. This year’s featured acts include Christiana, Blake Gardener & the Farmers, JG3, Nathan Brice & Loaded Dice, Casey McBailey, Cuz I Said So, Chris Bassett, Out of Reach, and, of course, Shady Gators’ very own Phat Mike and the Bartenders.
When this house is a-rockin’, you’d better come a-knockin’! In addition to the fabulous live music, artist Devon creates fun caricatures for guests in attendance. Pick up a commemorative T-shirt. Watch the bikini contest. Enjoy drink and food specials while you bid on items at the live and silent auctions. One great time. One great cause!
For 50 years now, Wonderland Camp has offered children with disabilities the chance to enjoy what millions of other able-bodied children do every year: summer camp at the lake. They also offer special camps for moms, injured military members, and the entire family. They offer all of the amenities and activities of a regular summer camp with the access and support staff needed for those campers with special needs to enjoy their time there. This includes a trained counselor for one-on-one interaction as needed. If you’d like to donate, please visit the Wonderland Camp website here. All donations are appreciated.
