Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Treasure Hunt 2019
Yo ho! Yo ho! A pirate’s life for me. And you. And you, too! Meet up at Captain Ron’s in Sunrise Beach next Monday night to go dig for buried treasure along the beach. But before you head out on your treasure hunt, enjoy an ice-cold dessert at the ice cream social from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Dig deep for a bronze, silver or gold chest. Bronze chests hold prizes worth at least $20. Silver chests offer an upper-level prize. These prizes include gift certificates to several local area businesses among other fun things. But, to be eligible for the grand prize (a Hammerhead Mudhead Off-Road Go Kart), you must find a gold chest. However, just because you find a gold chest doesn’t guarantee you win the grand prize. Several gold chests will be buried out there. Each gold chest contains a key. But only one of those keys starts up the go-kart. Will you be the lucky one holding the winning key? You’ll have to come out to the beach to find out.
Take your chest (no matter what the color) to the check-in area when you find it. Do not to open it before you check it in, though. Otherwise, organizers consider you disqualified and toss it out. Limit one treasure chest per participant.
Tickets cost $20 per person. However, save $5 a ticket by purchasing it by the end of business on August 16th. Buy your tickets in person through Kids Harbor or the Lake of the Ozarks Idiots Club. Or purchase them online at the Shootout’s website.
Fun for a Cause
Proceeds from the treasure hunt benefit both Kids Harbor and the Idiots Club. Both wonderful charities serve local children through their advocacy and goodwill programs. While you have fun digging for buried treasure, you’ll be providing a treasure for underprivileged children in our community. Everyone comes out a winner!
