For some finger-lickin’, napkin-stickin’ fun, come to the Lake of the Ozarks Blues & BBQ festival June 1-3, 2012. Lake of the Ozarks’ own Burnt Ends BBQ will be hosting this inaugural event. Over the event’s three days, hundreds of amateur and professional BBQ chefs will be competing to earn points from the KCBS(Kansas City Barbecue Society) for a national BBQ cook-off held every year in Kansas City, MO. The total purse for winners of this BBQ cook-off is $10,000.

The KCBS has a long-standing history of promoting BBQ throughout the country. This non-profit organizes and produces special BBQ competitions to provide information on the latest grilling techniques, products and equipment as well as offering assistance to charities and civic organizations when they are trying to host fundraising and informational events.

BBQ is only one part of the entertainment for the weekend in Lake of the Ozarks. Live musical guests will perform some soul-shaking blues, several local wineries will be displaying their wares throughout the event, vendor village offers plenty of goods for sale and there is much more fun to be had for the whole family. Admission is free. So come enjoy some great music, fantastic BBQ and a good time at the Blues & BBQ festival in Lake of the Ozarks the weekend of June 1-3, 2012. It’s fun that will stick to your ribs.
