Ever since Wright Brothers had their first successful takeoff at Kitty Hawk in 1903, human beings have been fascinated with flight. If you love all things airborne, you will want to make a trip to Camdenton Memorial Airport this Saturday, September 20th. The 2014 Lake of the Ozarks Air Show celebrates the talents of skilled military and civilian pilots in a spectacle that must be seen to be believed.

Throughout the day, guests will see remote control airplane demonstrations, watch the Flash Fire Jet Truck take off and see some amazing hot rods race against each other. There will be two Ping Pong Drops; one at 12:10pm and one at 2:10pm. Visit the information booth to find out how to get in on the fun. The only animals allowed on airport grounds during the show are identifed service dogs. So, please leave Fido at home. The loud noises from the airplanes and jet vehicles will frighten most animals. Outside food and drinks as well as coolers are not allowed. However, feel free to bring blankets and lawn chairs for comfortable viewing. Protect yourself from harmful UV rays by applying sunscreen regularly throughout the day and wearing sunglasses and/or a hat. Follow these rules and everyone will have a great time!

Warsaw Veterans Appreciation Day 2014
We owe so much to the great Lake of the Ozarks men and women who have fought in foreign wars throughout the decades. Chances are good that we have a brother, cousin, aunt, uncle, grandpa or father that has been a part of the military in one form or another. Please join the American Legion Post 217 to honor the sacrifices made by these brave soldiers on Warsaw Veterans Appreciation Day 2014.

After the re-dedication, guests are welcome to jump around in the bounce house (for the kids), take a cake walk, visit with the vets on-site and enjoy some concessions. Veterans can chow down on free hot dogs all day long.
You don’t have to be a member of the Legion to participate in Warsaw Veterans Appreciation Day 2014. You just have to have an appreciation for the people that have fought for our freedom. So, bring the family to the American Legion Post 217 in Warsaw this Saturday and thank a vet in person for their service. It may not seem like much, but it will make a world of difference for our veterans.
